Step 1 - Find some authors with blogs who are willing to participate for a set period of days.
Step 2 - Send instructions and questions with an introduction to be posted.
Step 3 - Send Reminder - the day before the arranged date remind everyone to get their blogs up and to promote it on the days of the blog hop.
Helpful tips: Pick only a few authors as I found with eight (with mine being the last author link) author links I didn't get much coverage, however, I did a blog with four total at the blog hop http://simplifyandsave.weebly.com/1/post/2013/02/blog-tour-meet-four-writersauthors-feb-14-16.html and it worked very well so far re: clicks to view my website from other authors.
I set the date for February 14-16, send a list of questions to help people learn something new about the authors, wrote a short introduction and asked everyone to promote it to their social network i.e. facebook, twitter, Linkedin etc. For an example of questions etc of a blog hop check out these two links:
